This is my Amharic scribbles zone. I hope to speed up my language learning and ”geez input skills” by writing down some of the highlights from my weekly Amharic lesson - there are plenty of those uplifting, intuitive moments in every one of them! The obvious result at this point of course is a page with a lot of bla-bla, out of any context, so please bear with me. Besides, you will see here only boxes unless you have a suitable font in your computer.

I would be positively surprised to read any comments on this page in Amharic so please do send them in so that I can play detective and work out what you are saying - በሓም አግዜር ይመስገን! ዛረ ትምህርት የለንም ፤ አንተ ክእኔጋራ ምአወራት ተፈልጋልህ?

I have not been able to compose more sentences for a while because my poor old laptop jammed so badly. Now I plan to recycle an old PC keyboard and write the Amharic letters directly on the keys with a marker, instead or ordering again a set of stickers for my new laptop. Soon I will send my very first email in Amharic to a friend!
